Shar Systems just wrapped up three days at the American Coatings Show in Indianapolis, May 5–7, 2026, and this year's booth was our biggest showing yet.

We doubled our footprint at Booth 2781 inside the Indiana Convention Center and brought something we'd never displayed at the show before: a live batching and washdown system demonstration, complete with our new Batch Control System.

Chris Coyne, Scott Smith, and Patrick Straub represented Shar Systems on the show floor, walking attendees through the demonstration and fielding questions throughout each day. The bigger booth and live equipment brought in many interested attendees. Visitors stopped by, watched the system in action, and asked questions about how it would fit into their operations.

We talked with several attendees about applications outside our typical scope and had some great conversations about expanding into industries we haven't traditionally served.

Since the 1950s, Shar Systems has been designing and building custom mixers, dispersers, tanks, and complete batching systems out of our Fort Wayne, Indiana, facility.  Every system is American-made and engineered to the customer's exact production goals. The Batch Control System we featured this year is the latest step in that work, bringing precision automation, real-time monitoring, and digital batch records to operations that have historically run manually.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth 2781. If we connected at the show and you're ready to talk next steps, contact us. And if you missed us in Indianapolis but want to learn what a custom Shar Systems solution could do for your line, we'd love to hear from you.
