Shar Systems recently sponsored a hole at the 5th Annual MDA Golf Scramble, a fundraising event for the Muscular Dystrophy Association that supports families dealing with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related conditions.
Brad Brown from Shar Systems attended the event, which had its share of memorable moments, including some unexpected groundhog interactions on the course. The day brought together local businesses and community members for golf while supporting an important cause.
The event organizer has been involved with MDA fundraising for 18 years due to personal experiences with the disease. This year's scramble featured hole sponsorships, donated gift cards for prizes, and direct donations to the organization. Last year, 93 local sponsors participated in the event. All funds raised go to the MDA to support ongoing research and assistance programs for affected families.
